Today was a bad day.
A mean lady in the waiting room of the pediatrician's office told me that I was a bad mom. My washing machine exploded... again. My breast milk has desiccated faster than the wilting hydrangeas that I got for Mother's Day. Still, this little munchkin who has started cooing and tasting her toes always finds a way to make me smile, even on the extra hard days.

I can't believe someone actually told you you're a bad mom!!! What happened? What did you say?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about that mean lady. People can be so rude sometimes. Your milk is already drying up? That's crazy. I know in Alaska the lactation consultant told me that eventually your milk tailors to your baby's needs and that it doesn't produce as much as it did in the beginning. There were some days where I thought I would never be able to nourish Lydia 'cause it seemed like it was never enough. Even now she'll only drink for about 3-5 minutes before she's tired of it. But we are still going 11 months strong. And recently I've been drinking lots of water and I've found it helps with my milk supply - I should have been drinking lots all along haha, but live and learn. Anyway, sorry for your bad day! :( Hope it's better tomorrow!
