a little fourth of July

Happy Independence Day!

Tonight, we hung out with some of our favorite people (the Wellses) and ate way too much mesquite grilled steak and shortcake.

We watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks from a hill overlooking the stadium and listened to the smooth vibrations of the Beach Boys (or what's left of them, anyway). I rocked Lily to sleep to 'Don't Worry, Baby' and now the song is stuck in my head. She of course woke up when the fireworks started and reclined on Paul's chest for the entire show. She also kept trying to sneak sips of our cokes and even dive bombed across us to reach Paul's sprite bottle. Sneaky little hobbit.
