tea, tarts, and lots of hearts: part I

Last weekend, we celebrated our hobbit's first birthday with a small afternoon tea. Fortunately, no dwarves attended to chip the glasses and crack the plates. It was just family and a few close friends in attendance and I'm happy to say that they were significantly less rambunctious than Thorin & Co.

Lily slept for most of her party and then (like any good hobbit) woke up just in time to demolish a cupcake and sip some lemonade. Overall, it was a very enjoyable afternoon with no unexpected guests or adventures to be heard of.

    1. Thanks, Erin! I kind of cheated; those cupcakes are from the Sweet Tooth Fairy!

    1. Thanks, Caitlin :-) Most of them are thrift/antique store finds. All but five of them came from my mama who lives in Texas! She has fun hunting down pretty tea cups for me since most of the stores in Provo are way too overpriced.

    1. I know! We were so sad to miss you! Lily and Charlie need to get together and play soon. He's one of the few babies who isn't scared to death of Lily's peals of delight.
